THE BIRDS STILL SING
This project explores the relationship between narrative, typography, and physical form through a collaborative book design. Working alongside a creative writing student, I developed the cover for her dystopian fiction narrative, translating the atmosphere and tension of the story into a visual language.
The title uses relief-colour handwriting to create a striking three-dimensional effect, adding depth and texture to the cover while reflecting the unsettling mood of the narrative. Extending the visual identity beyond the book itself, I also designed a series of bookmarks that carry the same typographic and tactile elements.
The project explores how materiality and typography can enhance storytelling, creating a physical connection between the reader and the world of the narrative.
