Land Really Is the Best Art invites reflection on the ongoing loss of green spaces in urban environments. Focusing on Surbiton as a case study, I examined the disappearance of greenery over time by comparing satellite imagery from 1940 to 2022 using Google Earth. I then visited the identified locations and captured photographs, which were printed onto cartridge paper and intricately embroidered to highlight either the remaining pockets of nature or the absence of it.
